Greetings Bratlings Take 2

I need another week to come up with a post.  Last week I was busy wrangling a couple of brats which was exhausting.  Between Hupo and CJ, I now need a nap…..a long luxurious calming nap.

I am now on story #3 as I try to come up with something worthy of the Anthology.  The clock is ticking ladies and the ‘robust woman’ is about to sing.  If you haven’t started…..staring at Tigger…..I strongly suggest you get to it.

For those of you that are ahead of the game and want to play, here is a new place to play for a while.

Mishi felt a little jolt of nerves as the boat started moving, but she focused on doing what CJ had said, pulling her knees forward, adjusting the strap, and then almost before she knew it she was kneeboarding! She remembered what CJ had said about steering and decided to try out making small turns, staying inside the wake. It took her a couple minutes to get the knack of steering but once she did she forgot her worries about overbalancing and started really enjoying the ride! She loved feeling the water spraying up around her and her blood was starting to rush from the sensation of zooming over the water – just the way she liked it!

    1. Jojo was jumping up and down in the boat in pure excitement. She just loved her new life jacket with the Brat Pack Logo emblazoned on the back. Wookie was spot on, having life jackets would make the brats appear to be super safe and responsible, a great way in which the Tops would be distracted by the safety element whereas the brats could let rip and really go for it……that ramp looked awesome.

      Water skiing was something she wanted to have a go at. She could see Mishi twisting and turning as CJ sped the boat around the lake. She looked like a real natural.

      She gave a thumbs up to Robin “I can’t wait to have a try..” and sitting back down she extracted another Wookie cookie from her life jacket and began to munch. These cookies seemed to just reproduce…which was just as well because they tasted so good.

      Yelling out to CJ she said ” If ya want me to take the helm just say…I’ve never driven one of these before, but you make it look so easy”

  2. Wookie cleared up her diving gear and stowed it away in the hut. Finding the box CJ had left for the girls, Wookie grabbed her life jacket and put it on. Yep definitely a good idea……. Don’t we look all responsible and stuff! ……she grinned , now to go and let rip “BratPack forever..” she yelled pumping her fist in the air as she ran down to the shoreline, catching CJ’s eye en route.
    Wookie saw CJ bringing the boat round in a curve and quickly swam out towards it. CJ had managed to sling out a rope ladder on the side of the boat which Wookie grabbed as the boat powered by. Hand over fist Wookie climbed over the side and into the boat.
    “Way to go CJ” she yelled over the noise of the engine. CJ grinned back and carried on towing Mishi on her kneeboard.
    Wookie leaned over the boat stern and shouted encouragement to Mishi who was having an awesome time on the kneeboard……

  3. ///hi guys, I’m actually going to bed – as soon as I’m able to fall asleep – but I wanted to say feel free to swap places with me and just drag me along with you in the boat if you want to have your own water fun, I don’t mind! I’d write something myself to that effect but I’m a little too sleepy and also on my phone. Have fun!

  4. CJ saw that Mishi was getting tired so she gave her the signal to know that she was slowing the boat down.

    1. Jojo will have to take a rain check if that’s ok. Shes down at the coast with two very good friends, probably getting a bit too merry.

      “Hopefully we can go tandem kneeboarding when we pick up another brat. I think Robin was on her way”…..😁

  5. “Excellent Wookie, well until we can get another driver can I give that ramp a try?” CJ asked.

    Wookie nodded agreement so CJ jumped into the water and grabbed the knee board. She got set and gave Wookie thumbs up to start. Soon she was up and riding the wake back and forth. Finally Wookie made it to the set up the jump.

    CJ was excited and tried to anticipate the feeling of flying through the air. She had wanted to do a 360 but wasn’t sure she would get enough lift until she hit the ramp.

    So she was about 50′ from the ramp when she felt comfortable that her speed was right on target. She hit the ramp and flew several feet into the air. Letting one hand drop from the rope handle she shifted her balance and through her and the board into a complete 360. On her way down she grabbed the handle of the rope with both hands and prepared herself to hit the water and continue with the boat.

    As she splashed back into the lake on the knee board she raised her one hand in a fist pump “YES” She couldn’t wait to do that tandem with Wookie. What an adrenaline rush!!

    1. Wookie was chuffed to bits at driving the boat. Hadn’t done it for ages but it soon came back.
      Keeping her concentration on steering the boat and powering properly she was able to glance back every so often watching CJ and ensuring she was matching what CJ was doing.
      Steering for the ramp jump Wookie kept checking CJ knowing she would signal if a stop was needed. Judging the speed to what she would use, Wookie was able to see CJ do the 360 perfectly!
      “Woo Hoo way to go Boss!” She yelled pumping her fist in the air.
      Wondering what one CJ would do next Wookie slowly steered around lining up to go a second run, again knowing CJ would signal if she didn’t want to.
      Perfectly positioned Wookie opened the throttle and sped up heading alongside the ramp……….

  6. CJ saw that Wookie was setting her up for another jump. She wsa contemplating the next trick she thought this time she might be able to do at least a flip and change direction with another flip. and when she hit the water she wanted to hit the wake so she could flip again.

    So she hit the ramp and everything was going well the first 360 was perfect she switched directions and started the second 360 which also ended well, but just a bit too soon so she still had air before she hit water. Her timing was off enough that she was half way twisted and the boards edge hit the water first and her body went under water. She hung on to the rope and tried to finish the flip holding her breath. she finally got her body twisted enough and the board went with her so she was upright on the board under water. She held on to the rope and leaned back trying to get the tip of the board to surface. A few more seconds… finally it broke the surface and she was up gasping for air. Immediately she undid the strap and let the rope go. She kind of leaned on the board and waited for Wookie to pick her up.

    1. Wookie held the boat straight knowing CJ was going for the jump.
      Concentrating on the boat and keeping the jump steady Wookie saw CJ execute a 360 perfectly. Seeing the landing and movement off again Wookie knew another 360 reversed was in the offing. Holding her breath she saw the take off looking good then realised CJ was a fraction high. Keeping the boat steady she watched as CJ disappeared beneath the water. Knowing not to panic she maintained speed hoping CJ would get the board’s nose up. Seconds passed seeming like hours. Suddenly the water churned as CJ’s board appeared with CJ upright. As the rope released Wookie sped ahead then circled around moving over to pick CJ up.. ..engine idling she leaned over the side and gave CJ her arm to pull on as she clambered up putting the board down on the floor and clapping Wookie on the shoulder…..

    1. “Oh he[[ yes CJ” Wookie grinned. Grabbing the board and with a quick wave to CJ she was over the side. Within a couple of minutes she was sited and strapped on the board and holding on to the rope as CJ took the boat around. Wookie took the chance to do some wake jumping just to settle comfortably. Seeing CJ going for the circle round to the ramp Wookie jumped the wake deliberately higher, digging her weight into the back of the board causing her to gain height and leaning to the left the momentum kept her turning a full twist quickly and landing low. CJ obviously knew what Wookie was doing because she sped up a fraction pulling Wookie quickly back on track for the ramp.
      Wookie settled herself and concentrated. Feeling the speed increase and then hitting the ramp Wookie felt herself lifting up high In the air. Dropping one hand from the rope she threw both hands high over her head. The momentum kept her turning a back somersault as she flew forward. Coming back down Wookie grabbed for the rope grateful to hit first time as she landed dipping down. Then as CJ powered forward Wookie felt the board rise up to normal position. Wookie let out one heck of a whoop of joy. Yessss! She made it ……

      Now she wanted the tandem ride with CJ. This was going to be the best ride ever! ……😂😂😂🤜🏻🤛🏻

  9. Excellent job Wookie. I will make sure we get another driver so we can go tandem. I saw this truck where they use the wake and flip over the other boarder!! 😊

  10. Robin had been watching the others fantastic tricks with the kneeboard and thought she would give it a try when CJ kindly offered to continue driving a couple of rounds more. Robin tried to follow the others example to get going, and soon she was actually kneeboarding! It was an increadible feeling to go that fast on the water! Like flying, but in a way even better because of the cool spray of water all around! She tried to move from side to side a bit nervously, but it worked quite well to her surprise and after two rounds she became bolder (i.e. too bold 😀) and tried to give a sign to CJ to let her jump the ramp!

  11. Sorry CJ if I hijacked you when you were going tandem…sometimes it seems i cant get my phone to update until i write something myself, and then suddenly i see what others have written….
    I will drive the other boat if you dare!😂 And you can tell me what to do Lol!

  13. Mishi had been watching CJ and Wookie as they steered the boat and before long she’d picked up on how to do it. “I’d be happy to take over later if you guys want to go tandem,” she offered. For now, she enjoyed leaning over the side of the boat to feel the spray and watching as they pulled Robin along.

    ///Aka, my participation may be very off and on due to me still floundering about as I write a story for the anthology, but if you guys want to go tandem later, feel free to write me along and have me drive if you want! I don’t mind being dragged along since I wrote myself into this and then went spotty. 😉

    1. Jojo watched in anticipation as Robin signalled to the ramp. Wow! Was she going to jump it?

      “Way to go Robin” she screamed above the engine noise of the 🛥

      This was a real adrenaline rush. Would Robin make it? Would CJ be able to set her up for the jump?

      She really wanted a go herself. Cupping her hands to her mouth she yelled out to CJ ” please please let me have a go soon…..I know I can do it…..well I think I know how to do it”

    Robin saw CJ sign “OK” and steer towards the ramp. She grinned and felt the adrenalin kick in! She concentrated on steering to enter the ramp in the right position and get right angle to be able to jump. it worked allright… She felt the speed increasing… It was an amazing feeling to take off into the air! Robin laughed in delight and flew high….a little too high maybe…. Iiih! Suddenly she stalled, lost control and with the gracefulness of an iron stove she hit the water surface…
    She had lost the grip of the rope, and everything was spinning, but except for that she felt ok. Actually she could not get rid of that huge smile that appeared. She started to laugh and swam with the board towards the boat where she was helped aboard by her friends.

    CJ looked around and saw that Jojo was looking the most eager to go next. “Okay Jojo are you ready? Robin did you have fun? Well let’s get rolling!”

      1. Jojo swapped places with Robin and hurriedly stuffed her feet into the fixtures of the water ski and secured them. Now what next? Remembering how the others had started off she bent her knees and clutched tightly on the rope. She gave a thumbs up to CJ who then let the throttle out.

        The boat started to pull ahead going from 0mph to what felt like extremely fast to Jojo.
        She held on to the rope for dear life, keeping her arms straight and soon she was pulled out of the water and then she was upright!

        OMG she was skiing……Jojo leant back and enjoyed the feeling of ploughing through the water with the spray kicking up behind her. She tried a few little turns as the boat danced across the sparkling water. Hey this was sooooooo cool, it was a breeze.

        Hmm…..should she go for the ramp….it looked a bit daunting. Oh hell yes, she had nothing to lose. Signalling to CJ that she wanted to attempt the ramp, Jojo gripped the rope tighter still.
        The boat swung out wide and then approached the ramp board……

        Going up the ramp was sort of ok, it was when she ran out of ramp and saw the abyss in front of her that Jojo screamed out. It was was either with pure terror or enjoyment no one quite knew except the skier.

        As Jojo sailed through the air the rope flew from her hands and the skis fell away from her feet. Thanking her lucky stars that she had paid attention to watching the diving event at the Olympics she pulled herself into a reverse two and a half somersault dive and she hit the water. Cursing slightly to herself as she had over extended on the rotation, but she did have a bulky life jacket on at the time, she bobbed up to the surface. By that time CJ had brought the boat up alongside her and she scrambled in.

        “I think…”announced Jojo as she sat down somewhat unsteadily “….that in future  I’ll leave the acrobatics to CJ and Wookie…..”

      After some deep breathing exercises of 4,7,11 Jojo had recovered suffiently enough from her high dive demonstration.

      “Thanks CJ but I think my angle of entry was a little skewwiff….” and she returned the high five. “Now do you want me to take the helm?” and clapping her hands together she looked with anticipation at the Brat Pack boss.

      CJ looked a bit doubtfully at Jojo, could she honestly drive the speed boat, was there anyone else that could take her and Wookie out on their tandem ride…….

    CJ and Wookie jumped in the water both with knee boards and each a rope.

    With Mishi piloting the boat they were off. Soon they were criss crosding the wake making sure to keep the ropes from crossing.

    On the last cross they high fived each other as they passed. They landed and flipped in the year simultaneously.

    CJ was grinning from ear to ear. This was exhilarating!!

    1. Getting the signal from CJ Wookie grinned. Then pointing to herself she lifted her rope high and pointing at CJ she crouched down so CJ knew she would cross low under Wookie’s rope.
      When they were ready and powering strongly CJ suddenly crouched lower and veered to the left across Wookie’s path. Waiting fir the wake Wookie suddenly went forward and up just moping the wake and as CJ straightened her course Wookie kept the momentum going by flipping forward in a somersault over CJ’s head and landing on a curve in front of CJ. Curving sharply round and meeting up
      with CJ they both high five’d and Wookie pointed at her. “Your turn”…..

  21. CJ was totally geeked when it was her turn. Wookie had done a fsntastic job.

    So they exchanged signals this time Wookie went under CJ’s rope. When CJ hit the wake she reversed flipped back over Wookie hit the water and flipped again.

    This was fantastic. She yelled over to Wookie “your turn!!”

    1. Wookie signalled and did a glance at the ramp. Signalling the two of them to do forward twists flips in tandem she watched as CJ checked the ramp and ok’d.
      Robin had been watching from the boat and brought them round to set up for the ramp. Powering on both riders settled for the ramp as they sped faster. 50 yards out and they knew it was a go! Hitting the ramp and sliding up, up they both flipped a twisting corkscrew in perfect sync, landing simultaneously and high fiving, screaming out”Yeesssss!” ……..

  22. Settling down to turn around for another ramp jump Wookie signalled CJ to say the tricky double crossover tandem. They both knew it was a tricky jump but they were so hyped up they were going for it!
    Robin brought them round again and powered faster so they’d have more time in the air. Glancing quickly at each other they turned and headed for the ramp.
    They were almost flying towards it. Next thing they hit the ramp going up, up and then leaned towards each other as they started to roll over, Wookie above and CJ below. At the right moment they held each other’s rope releasing their own and completing the twist with CJ above and Wookie below, before they both completed the turn to land on the other side. It looked as though they jumped and corkscrewed together landing on each other’s side. As they splashed down both threw their arms in the air yelling at the tops of their voices in excitement!

  23. CJ looked over at Wookie after that last trick grinning from ear to ear!! “Wookie that was the best EVER!!!”

    Adrenaline still coursed through her body. What should they do next? There was one thing that she had never seen done. Naw that was probably too risky…

  24. CJ grinned and winked at Wookie ok this time we cris cross twice the second time we actually exchange rope handles. We throw them too each other. We do this before we hit the ramp. When we hit the ramp we cross again and flip halfway and come back up. Once we hit the water we can do one more 360.

    Wookie was grinning too. Both gave a Robin a thumbs up. CJ signaled her to take them a round again and speed it up a bit. They would need all the air they could get.

    Soon they were both executing the cross crosses and flips with flawless maneuvering. Next was the change of ropes. CJ let hers fly at the exact same time she saw Wookie toss hers. They both grabbed the handles and were flying in opposite directions. The ramp was next this time they hit it with more speed then any other trick.
    They turned into each other Wookie going high CJ low. Soon they were airborne. CJ did a reverse turn. Wookie saw her impromptu play and followed a split second later. They both hit the water and bounced up again flipping once more in a artistic 360. Landing with a flare spraying each other with water.

    “Yes Wookie you are FANTASTIC!!!”

    1. ” WOO HOO CJ you’re AWESOME bud, truly awesome!” Both were running on pure adrenaline and were jumping about on the boards neither one believing the incredibly hard and risky jumps they had done. It was breathtaking. Looking at Robin they could see her jumping up and down and yelling out waving in excitement.
      Wookie’s eyes were glowing as she looked over to CJ.
      “What now CJ….”…….. as they both kept cruising 😂🤜🏻🤛🏻🤣

  25. Robin the only thing I think we haven’t done is come off the ramp cross crossing and flipping 360’s over each other. Hmmmm unless you can think of something else?

    SWMBO might possibly feel that may be A bit nuts!! Lol

    4. Fireworks! (Shudder) I dont know…that word makes my backside sting… Weird…
      Maybe just shoot some sparklers with my longbow…? Thats what we did when i was a kid…Or…or…yeah Lets go all in for super-mega-fireworks!!!

      Hm…. I will check if theres any fire ban…😓

  28. Hey CJ, were there any leftover tin cans from all that food you made? We’ve got some rolls of firecrackers… it’d be fun to launch some tin can rockets while we wait for the grand show… That’s after we finish playing in the water, of course. 😉

          1. Of course! It’s really simple, you just poke a hole in the bottom of the tin can that’s the perfect size for a single firecracker, slip in the firecracker, stand the can in an open space, light the firecracker and when it goes off watch the can fly high into the air! It’s fun to see how high you can get a can to go and also for someone to try to catch it when it falls! My family does it pretty much every year. It’s just a fun little game to play while waiting for it to get dark.

  30. Mishi kicked the boat into gear – or whatever you call it when you’re driving a boat. She knew what to do, just not what to call it. She looked back at CJ and Wookie to make sure they were ready… she got two thumbs up and so she sped onward, pulling them forward. She smothered the sudden urge to try zipping the boat back and forth to see how they handled it – that was dangerous, she told herself 😇 and besides, it sounded like they had a pretty awesome trick planned! She couldn’t wait to see them pull it off! Checking again to make sure they were good and ready, she steered the boat toward the ramp….

  31. This was going to be absolutely crazy and if it worked ……. well BratBoarding would be an Olympic sport!
    Wookie and CJ were riding round psyching themselves up. They’d both worked out which order they were doing this.
    Mishi kept the boat steady waiting for the signal to speed up and go for the ramp. There it was and she opened up the throttle. The speed picked up and the girls headed at full throttle for the ramp. The felt like they were flying already!
    Just short of the ramp they shot a quick grin at each other and the jump was on. Up the ramp they shot going higher and higher crisscrossing as they did so. Suddenly Wookie leaned in going for the 360 over CJ. Quick as a flash CJ did the same only slightly lower as they passed over each other and adding the breathtaking move of swapping ropes as they did, then landing back in the water flipping over once more passing the ropes back and going for the deep landing which held their boards sharper causing a deeper wake either side and showering everyone!
    “Yeessssss CJ we did it we are AWESOME”
    As CJ responded ” Yeesssss Wookie we made it bud, we ROCK”…..
    Then both dived off their boards and clambered for the boat. …….😂🤣🤜🏻🤛🏻

        Now what kind of gasses or chemicals do we need in the balloons to make the most colorful show?

    1. Hey CJ can you pick me up some sodium and potassium when you go to the store 🛒. Thought I would have a go at bringing the lake to life, but i will need a job load. I’ve got a bazooka that I’m gonna use.

      Btw have we checked if we need a licence for our lovely explosive celebration. I was reading that some States have different regulations. Wookie as Brat Pack Secretary are you able to check it out and perhaps acquire / forge one Just in case we need to show the Sherrif 😁

Thank you for sharing the dove ad. It was interesting. My first thought was if I saw those gates i would turn around and walk away, angry that someone tried to separate people based on beauty, lol. But it was an interesting experiment, and good to see how people started to think and encouraging each other to go through the “beautiful ” gate. They chose to use it in a supportive way, some even started to be more supportive towards themselves.

        1. That’s why I liked the advert. It was thought provoking. I went on a course about Chimp Management which is about resilience and they showed the clip. I would have gone through the average gate by myself but i think if I were with a bunch of my friends we’d support one another and go through the beautiful gate 😊

    I thought we could use my State’s laws which are quite liberal when it comes to fireworks!! 😊 Like almost anything goes. However if you wish to be more responsible by all means get your permits! Also remember that the lake we are on is private and therefore not under the jurisdiction of said sheriff of this territory.

    Unless of course the owner becomes the sheriff, and then my friends we are all screwed, or as EM has taught us completely and utterly Fect!!! 😳

  40. CJ started getting the party ready. Screen tents were put up in the yard where the food will be kept warm or cold. A separate bar tent was erected.

    Lots of tables and chairs were brought in. No expense was spared this was the first blog party after all!

    The games were all prepared for the gang to arrive. Volleyball, badminton, horseshoes and corn hole. Of course they were away from the eating area in case things got a bit wild. 😊

    CJ had gotten up early and met with her special friend to get all the chemicals that Robin and Jojo requested. Her friend also gave her some on the house that he said would give us rainbow fire!

    Now CJ was drinking a bottle of water wondering if she had forgotten anything! Tonight would be fireworks night!!

    1. “Excellent CJ yes please. Just gonna grab some Rainbow Drops first” and she walked over to the storage shed where she kept the stock she’d ordered. With a couple of small sacks under her arm Wookie met CJ down by the lake edge and untied one of the canoes. This was probably the quickest way to the boathouse. Sacks in, both girls clambered in the canoe and they were off, quickly paddling across the lake to the far edge.
      Both CJ and Wookie seemed to shiver at the same time and they glanced at each other with questioning looks on their faces. Still, out they got from the canoe and secured it to the post nearby,
      Walking over to the boathouse door Wookie gently opened it , stepping back in astonishment giving CJ a chance to look into the room ……. both women turned to each other, mouths dropping open as Wookie gulped” ohhh for fec’s sake CJ, there’s over a hundred in there , what’ll we do…” as they gazed at the sea of Mama unicorn and her 101 babies 🦄🦄🦄🦄

Glad to see you were all responsible and wore life jackets while on the water. Interesting statue I saw out on the beach. Takes another look around and then walks outside sits down and watches as the brats run around getting things ready for the party.

        1. – Jojo was busy over by the helium tank, she was blowing up the most ginormous balloons that she had ever bought. She was rather pleased with herself as she had acquired life sized balloons of the whole Brat Pack gang.

          She’d already blown up herself, CJ, Wookie, Mishi and Robin. She was now starting on Logan, that was taking a lot of helium for it was rather a tall balloon. They looked rather good as they wibbled and wobbled in the wind.

          Looking around her, Jojo spied Robin, busy with her chocolate cake. Grinning from ear to ear she inhaled some of the helium and then tried speaking. Oh wow her voice had changed, it was now all high and squeaky.

          She walked over to Robin, balloons in one hand floating in the air and tapped her on the back.

          “Hi ya Robin, need any help”.she squeaked out and burst out laughing as Robin wondered why her voice was so high.

            She inhaled some helium and laughed at the effect. -Yes Jojo if you like you can help me put together the cake! Its made of seven cakes, lets put them on top of each other with this yummy chocolate filling in between. It will be kind of a rocket-shaped cake. What do you think Jojo? She said with her Donald duck voice.
